Dr. Gerald T. Lui

Dr. Gerald Lui completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology in the US. He has had experience in working at psychiatric hospitals and community mental health clinics while in the US. His professional experience includes psychotherapy with individuals who are dealing with depression, anxiety, addictions, and eating disorders, emotional and relational trauma, marital conflicts and family problems. He is a registered psychologist with the Hong Kong Psychological Society and is fluent in English, Cantonese and moderately fluent in Putonghua.
Dr. Lui is currently in full-time private practice in Hong Kong providing psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are struggling with various emotional, psychological, mental and relational issues. He also provides consultations for institutions, clinical supervision, group therapy, and conduct workshops on various topics. He is an adjunct professor of counseling studies at the China Graduate School of Theology and adjunct professor at the Tung Fook Bible College. Dr. Lui has a personal interest in training and developing mental health counselors for the community. He draws his clinical perspectives from Object Relations and Attachment Theories.
