Emily is a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT109297) with a Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary, U.S.A. She is a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Emily left her career in law in Hong Kong 7 years ago to pursue her passion of helping people understand themselves, experience wholistic healing and cultivate healthy relationships.

Emily provides therapy to couples, individuals and families using a trauma-informed and attachment-based perspective. She also provides pre-marital counseling as a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator. Having worked in community mental health agencies for 5 years, she has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and families on issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, relationship distress and parent-child problems. Emily also has a certificate in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT).

Emily values the unique life story of each client and considers it a privilege to be able to share in their journey. She works in a warm, supportive style to help clients uncover relational patterns that are hindering them and to help build pathways of communication.

Emily can provide therapy in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She enjoys reading, hiking and any moments of quiet she can get from her 3 energetic kids.
